Coming To A City Near You

Today as Greece’s government narrowly approves new austerity measures that won’t be followed and will do no good kicking the economic can down the road, here are some shots of the protests in Athens conducted by two of the bigger unions during their 48 hour strike.

This story get very little play in the media her and is practically nonexistent on any of the MSM cable networks. As we slide over the economic cliff these scenes could be coming to a city near you. The reality is with our current economic situation it really is just a question of not if it happens but when.

I don’t agree with Ron Paul on a lot of things but economically the Congressmen is right on the mark. In an interview today he is quoted

"We're so far gone. We're over the cliff," he then added “People do not want anything cut," he said. "They want all the bailouts to come. They want the Fed to keep printing the money. And they don't believe that we've gone off the cliff or are close to going off the cliff. They think we can patch it over, that we can somehow come up with some magic solution. But you can't have a budgetary solution if you don't change what the role of government should be. As long as you think we have to police the world and run this welfare state, all we are going to argue about is who will get the loot."
