What Is a Veteran?

I posted this a while back and its still and always will be true, regardless of how the drones on the left feel.

" A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check
made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to
and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people
in this country who no longer understand it.'"

Obama On Guns

Just a few money quotes from the one on guns, he gets a consistent F rating from the NRA and as an Illinois Senator has voted for such outrageous things as 500% tax on ammunition and gun sales, and total ban on handguns.

I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry." - Obama, Chicago Tribune, April 27, 1994

"...just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can't constrain the exercise of that right..." - 2008 Philadelphia primary debate

Remember the totalitarians and Marxist want you disarmed. Because after all those with the guns make the rules. Our founding fathers knew this and this why they gave us the second amendment. If the liberals chip away at the 2nd screw around with the 1st with the fairness doctrine what other parts of the constitution will they not follow or seem to think has evolved. We are at the top of the slippery slope in a little over a week we can save ourselves and try and get it right with a vote for McCain/Palin.

401K Abolition Next for the Democrats?

Simply mind blowing, there is no doubt if McCain does not win the Democrats will economically reduce this great nation to a third world social st state. It pisses me off so bad that these greedy no good politicians most of whom have never worked a real job one day in their pathetic lives want to tax us even more.
America has a little over one week to wake up or all us working people are screwed and will end up working until we are dead.

It’s not enough that the Democrats total screwed up the banking system with their obstruction and lack of oversight that Bush and company tried to get on Fannie Mae, now they want to screw up the 401k system and really tank the market. Baghdad Jim and Miller need to be run out of D.C on a rail.

From the Free Republic and other news sources

House Democrats Contemplate Abolishing 401(k) Tax Breaks Powerful House Democrats are eyeing proposals to overhaul the nation’s $3 trillion 401(k) system, including the elimination of most of the $80 billion in annual tax breaks that 401(k) investors receive. House Education and Labor Committee Chairman George Miller, D-California, and Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Washington, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee’s Subcommittee on Income Security and Family Support, are looking at redirecting those tax breaks to a new system of guaranteed retirement accounts to which all workers would be obliged to contribute.

A plan by Teresa Ghilarducci, professor of economic-policy analysis at the New School for Social Research in New York, contains elements that are being considered. She testified last week before Miller’s Education and Labor Committee on her proposal.

At that hearing, the director of the Congressional Budget Office, Peter Orszag, testified that some $2 trillion in retirement savings has been lost over the past 15 months. Under Ghilarducci’s plan, all workers would receive a $600 annual inflation-adjusted subsidy from the U.S. government but would be required to invest 5 percent of their pay into a guaranteed retirement account administered by the Social Security Administration. The money in turn would be invested in special government bonds that would pay 3 percent a year, adjusted for inflation.

Operation Urgent Fury

25 years ago today Marines from the 22nd Marine Amphibious unit, Soldiers from 82nd Airborne Division, 75th Ranger Regiment, Delta, and the 160th SOAR Seals from Teams 5and 6, Airman from the 21st TASS landed on Grenada. In addition numerous USN combat ships and USAF AC-130 Gunships supported them.
The invasion occurred on this date after an appeal by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Jamaica and Barbados that occurred when the former Prime Minister Maurice Bishop was murdered by the ruling military junta. This request was coupled with the fact there were over 700 Cuban soldiers and construction battalion personal along with Soviet, North Korean, East German Bulgarian and Lybian military advisors who were hand in hand with the junta in building an enormous new runway on the island. There were also numerous American college students attending St Georges University.
The invasion started at dawn with a classic airborne assault on the new airport which was followed up by amphibious and heliborne assault by the Marines and special operation forces. The island was secured with minimal casualties . Sir Paul Scoon took over the government and reinstated the constitution and appointed a new government.
Reaction was typical, the lefties in Congress including Louis Stokes and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus condemned the action. Congressman Ted Weiss and other Democrats attempted to impeach Reagan and the useful idiots at the UN voted also to condemn the invasion.
Valuable lesson were learned included the need for better intelligence in both gathering and dissemination, better communication gear and the need for more interoperability among the different branches of the armed forces. The lessons learned directly lead to the formation of US Special Operations Command.

New Record Snowfall Last Week in Montana

Must be global warming /sarcasm off

According the National Weather Service, Billings saw 3.1 inches of snow Friday. The old record of 2.8 inches was set in 1969.

Obama to Declare Carbon Dioxide Dangerous Pollutant

The one has eased over to the loony left on this one. What is really scary if he is elected and implements this ridiculous policy it will immediately effect the output of the majority of our electrical generating plants which the majority are coal or natural gas fueled. Can you say brown outs, rolling black outs, mother earth times. All brought to you by the loony left.
C02 is plant food without it life on this planet is not possible. I won’t waste time trying to persuade anyone that global warming id a complete myth, even though it is. Nothing but another Marxist idea to destroy the west's economy with pseudoscience. Educate yourself and you can start by vi sting, www.whatsupwithtaht.com, click the title.

What Is The One Hiding?

The Obama campaign continues to stonewall any attempts to find information on the ones past. Here is a partial list.

Actual medical records,
Transcripts from Columbia, Occidental, Harvard,
Voting records and notes from Illinois
His association with Acorn
His ties with the scumbag Ayers
His relationship with G-D Damn America Rev Wright
His actual birth certificate

The last one is especially puzzling, initially I thought the Berg lawsuit in PA was some tilting at windmills by a disappointed Hillary supporter. But here we are eight weeks from when the lawsuit was filed 3 weeks from the election and instead of simply coming up with the documents and giving them to the judge the Obama campaign and the DNC are attempting by legal maneuvering to delay discovery.
This makes me think there may in fact be something to hide; tomorrow is when discovery is supposed to happen. It would be ironic that after all of the MSM water carrying and lack of any investigation of this left wing Marxist candidate it turns out that he could be ineligible to run for President because of his lack of natural born citizen status, just like Alexander Hamilton.
If this turn out to be the case the MSM will implode and the DNC who had to know this is a problem would have some serious explaining to do. With al the money raised through what would be fraud can you imagine the law suits against the DNC and the ones campaign?

The One Marxist To The Core

The one shows he is a Marxist to the core. This is nothing less than income distribution.

Obama was confronted by a plumber in an Ohio neighborhood, this weekend. The man asked Obama, "Why do want to raise my taxes? My business makes more than 250k a year." Obama told him he needed to "spread" the wealth to those who don't have what he has.

Outlaws Return

I'm pleased to report that D Company (Outlaws) 2nd LAR, USMC has returned from their successful combat tour in Iraq. Delta's primary mission was to interdict smugglers in western Iraq. The Grunts returned on Thursday and I'm sure many cold ones have been consumed over this past weekend.

Once again the sound of Freedom equals Jet Engine In Burner. You jut have to love Strike Eagles

In Afghanistan, Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles dropped guided bomb unit-31s and a GBU-38 onto anti-Afghan forces engaging coalition forces in the vicinity of Nangalam. On-scene Joint Terminal Attack Controllers reported the mission success.

Bail Out Disaster

I’ve waited a few days to see hoe the bail out was going and it is tracking just like a thought. Congress spent our money to bail out an industry that bankrupted itself by not following its own traditional rules. This behavior in handing out loans to people that normally would not qualify was spurred on by legislation in the Carter years, put on steroids by Clinton and allowed to fester under Bush. We are now left with the Democrat congress covering Raines Gerlock and their own culpable behinds by not conducting any real hearings especially since so many Democrats did nothing but obstruct any oversight attempts over the last four years.
So what are we left with, an 850 billion dollar bill that we cannot pay for by any stretch of the imagination. We will see high inflation by the end of the year and a massive jump in unemployment and a huge slow down in many areas of the economy. Yet we have the Obama Messiah and to a lesser degree McCain talking about spending even more money that we do not have.
There needs to be an immediate cap on all government spending at Federal, State and local levels. In fact there should be a ten percent reduction in spending at all levels. This will free up money to start the pay down of the enormous budget deficits at all levels of government and will allow money not wasted by these idiot elected officials to flow back into the private sector to grow jobs and the economy.

It’s a damn shame that the only people that are truly screwed in all of this are the taxpayers and homeowners like myself who work hard and bought houses on fixed mortgages that we could afford. This is not a racial issue that many of the left claim it is, it’s not racist to deny credit to people who are high risk. Home ownership is not a right, it is a goal that is out their for anyone who wants to work for it. When you here politicians like Obama talk they actual want you to believe that it is a right. They are simply wrong, life is full of choices and if you make bad ones you must bear the reasonability when events go south. The government should not be in the business of bailing out people and business’s for their own mistakes.

Obama and his advisors are a disaster waiting to happen I just hope enough people wake up in the next month.

PAVE LOW FLIES LAST COMBAT MSSION

The last six MH-53 Pave Low helicopters flew on their last combat missions in support of special operations forces Sept. 27 in Southwest Asia.
The Pave Lows will all be retired in the next few weeks after serving the Air Force for 40 years.
Who knows all the lives that have neeb saved over the years by these very special machines. The Osprey and the new CSAR helicaopter will have some big shoes to fill.
