Today in Military History
Today in 1989 two F-14A aircraft from VF-32, Fighting Swordsmen embarked on the USS John F. Kennedy shot down 2 hostile Libyan Mig-23 over the Mediterranean.
One of the F-14A's Gypsy 207 was rebuilt as an F14D and is now on display at the National Air and Space Museum annex at Dulles.
