D-DAy, 6 June 1944

Today is the anniversary of the greatest assault from the sea that the world has ever seen. Soldiers from the combined Allied forces stormed ashore or were parachuted behind the lines at Normandy, France beginning the task of pushing the Nazi’s back into Germany. My hat’s is off to these brave men in the first waves that faced unbelievable fire coming from the Germans dug in positions to gain a foothold on the beach.

Courage doesn’t mean you’re not scared.
