Blogging Again

It;s time to start blogging again, the world market situation is bordering on catastrophic and people will need information for coming bad times. I don;t think the lights will go out but I do think that folks need to prepare for food and fuel shortages as the credit market so they can stay safe and well for 45-90 days as the markets reset. If I can help one person with info I will think it is a good thing.

First off here is a great blog by a long term prepper James Rawles it is full of good idea's. Don;'t be turned off by some of the extreme prepping articles of a grid down situation, this type of information is good for inclement weather or any other natural disaster situations.

Here is a link to a great long term food site, Wise Foods. I've personally used Wise Foods products and have purchased supplies for my self and members of my family. They are a great company to do business with.

Fast and Furious

Via Fox News

“The Justice Department has been less than forthcoming since day one, so the revisions here are hardly surprising, and the numbers will likely rise until the more than 1,000 guns that were allowed to fall into the hands of bad guys are recovered — most likely years down the road,” Grassley said in a statement released Thursday.

“What we’re still waiting for are the answers to the other questions the Attorney General failed to answer per our agreement. The cooperation of the Attorney General and his staff is needed if we’re ever going to get to the bottom of this disastrous policy and help the ATF and the department move forward.”

What bothers me the most about Fast and Furious is we know that people have been murdered by weapons involved n this program. We also know that the current administration and Justice department is in hip deep. Even with all this the MSM give the Obama administration a pass when in reality this has the potential of bring the administration down. I thought reporter wanted Pulitzer prizes, instead they want to play lapdog to the Marxist in D.C.
The fast and the furious case will make Watergate look like the third rate burglary it was if only some reporter would grow a pair, Thus goes for Rep Issa and Senotor Grassly

Australia circling the drain

(Fox News Radio/Todd Starnes) — Christians in Australia are accusing national education officials of “Christian cleansing” in response to pending changes in school books that would remove references to the birth of Jesus Christ.

The government would replace the terms BC, Before Christ, and AD, Anno Domini, with non-religious language. The new terms will be BCE (Before Common Era), BP (Before Present) and CE (Common Era).

A spokesman for the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority told The Herald Sun that the new terms were an increasingly common standard for the representation of dates.

Peter Jensen, the Archbishop of Sydney, told The Daily Telegraph that taking references to the birth of Jesus Christ out of school books was an “intellectually absurd attempt to write Christ out of human history.”

“It is absurd because the coming of Christ remains the centre point of dating and because the phrase ‘common era’ is meaningless and misleading,” he told the Sydney Daily Telegraph.

Fred Nile, a minister in New South Wales, told the newspaper it was “an absolute disgrace” and the “final insult” to Australian Christians.

I'm convinced that when the B-2 goes to the boneyard a B-52H will fly the crew home. Not bad for a jet last built in 1964.

London Burning

Could this be the U.S. in 6 months? This is what happens when the FSA (Free shit Army) doesn’t get what they want. Of course the British left blames the government as the cause because of their austerity program.

Light bulb vote

Today the light vote bulb vote failed to get enough of the Democrats to cross over an help kill this CFL mandating nightmare. At the end of the day the people who are screwed are thier low income constitutes and the manufacturing plant that are closing down and moving to Chine and their lax environmental laws and cheaper labor.
Good job Donkeys!

When I see shots like these I'm always impressed by aircraft maintainers like I was for the great majority of my career. That's why when I read article in Air Force link obviously written by office paper pushers my blood boils. They have no idea what it is to actually work for a living.

F-22

I wondered why the AF used B-2's but not the F-22 in Libya. I'm not going to speculate but then I found this poster. It pretty much sums up the wholf F-22 program.

For the 50

John 15:13

Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Or for millions of friends in this case.

If its true what the breathless reporters say these folks have picked a dose of radation.

Libyan Air Force Jets Defect

Two Lybian Air Force jets flown by LAF Colonels, flew low level and defected to Malta with both pilots requesting political asylum. The Middle East and Northern Africa is on fire and the One ans Shillary sit on their hands. Nice to have amateurs in charge.

On War

Poet Ed Sissman wrote many years ago commenting on what happens to a man that missed his chance for war:

Men past forty
Get up nights, look out at city lights
And wonder
Where they made the wrong turn
And why life is so long

I’ve thought about these lines and I’m thankful that I had a chance to serve in the greatest Armed Force on the face of the earth and know that when called we all did our duty.

KC-10

I did not know it but Jan 17 was the 30th anniversary of the KC-10 in the service of the USAF. These are wonderful aircraft, I have been fortunate to deploy in them on a few occasion and they offer the seating in comfort up front for the deploying maintenance crew and space in the back for all of our pallets. Plus they refueled the F-15's enroute to our TDY location. They also have enjoyed over the years the highest fully mission capable rate in the Air Force. By far one of the few things that the Air Staff has gotten right, to bad the didn’t buy more.

South Koren Navy 1 Pirates 0

Hat Tip ARES

Earlier this week South Korean Special Forces from the ROKN destroyer, Choi Young assaulted the highjacked freighter Samho Jewelry in the Arabian Sea. Commandos scrambled up a ladder onto the ship; aboard which Somali pirates were armed with AK assault rifles and anti-tank missiles. 21 hostages had been rescued, eight Somali pirates killed and five assailants captured.
This was the first takedown of a ship at sea that had been captured by the Somali pirates since the Russian navies successful mission last fall , Great job by the RoKS . Check out the second photo, the pirates don’t look too happy
