ANWR Reality

Obama and his minions have been truly clues the last few days about drilling and what it can do for the price of oil. Anybody with a slight grasp of economics realizes that this is classic supply and demand. Here are a few quotes from the last few days about ANWR and the energy situation in general. Thanks democrat every time you fill up with 4.00 plus gas.

"If the Arctic National Wildlife Area was a football field, the (area to be developed for oil) would be like a postage stamp on that football field... So it is totally outrageous what they say. What Americans forget too, is that the Republican Congress opened up ANWR every single year that we were in power. But, what happened was in the Senate, the democrats killed it every year in the senate."

"So, you had Clinton veto it in 1995, and then every single year after that you had the democrats kill it in the US Senate."

The reality is that the Democrat part has opposed drilling and increasing refining and Nuclear power for the last 30 years. Why? The only explanation is they do not want America to continue to grow and be the worlds only Superpower. If this is not traitorous activity I ‘d hate to see what is.

Seventh Haditha Marine Innocent

The seventh U.S Marine had his charges dismissed on Tuesday. Murtha (D-Ohio) is still a dirtbag who should resign immediate only after he publicly apologizes to these Marines for saying they killed in cold blood. We must not also not forget that the Democrat Presidential candidate Obama sided with his fellow antiwar Democratic colleague Murtha on Hannity and Colmes in June 2006

Colmes: Did Murtha say that in the right way?

Obama: "You know, I don't have the exact quotes in front of me. What I know is here is a guy who served our country. I would never second guess John Murtha... I think he's somebody who knows of which he speaks"
Both of these men are A**hats and are an embarrassment to all real Americans.

Military Judge Col. Steven Folsom dropped all charges against Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani, who was accused of violating a lawful order and dereliction of duty, at a hearing at the Camp Pendleton Marine base in Southern California.
Folsom threw out the charges against Chessani, a 44-year-old Colorado native, after finding that a four-star general who oversaw the case could have been influenced by an investigator who later became his adviser.
The dismissal of charges against Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani came after a finding that then-Lt. Gen. James Mattis was unlawfully influenced by a Marine attorney who participated in an investigation of the killings and then became the general's top legal adviser.

The ruling by Col. Steven Folsom, the judge presiding over Chessani's case, was a major blow to the government, which has seen charges against seven of the eight men accused with criminal wrongdoing in the 2005 killings dismissed or withdrawn. Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich is for now the lone Haditha defendant.

Folsom ruled the participation of Col. John Ewers as an investigator and report writer in the Haditha killings and his later appointment as Mattis' top legal aide constituted unlawful command influence.

Ewers' depth of involvement, he said, "tainted" the charges against Chessani beyond repair.

"Unlawful command influence is the mortal enemy of military justice," Folsom said. "The appearance of unlawful command influence is as devastating as actual manipulation of a trial."

A dismissal, he said, was necessary to maintain public confidence in the military justice system.

New Chief Of Staff

The Secretary of Defense announced last week that he would recommend Gen. Norton Schwartz to serve as chief of staff. I’ve done some checking and this I feel will be a great choice of a new leader for the Air Force. The bottom line is that General Schwartz is neither a bomber nor fighter pilot; his background is in airlifters and Special Operations, perfect for the ongoing war on terror.
His nomination is great since finally the fighter pilot mafia that has been in charge seemingly forever and during the curent disastrous draw down and sacrifice of the force for the Raptor and other pet systems should come to an end. His appointment should allow the Air Staff to get back to fundamentals that have been pushed off the table. Items like decent electronic warfare, improved airlift and an increase in the size and scope of our special operations forces. Hopefully there will be an increase in accountability so the boys in the flying club mentality that has so permeated the upper echelons of Air Force leadership can be washed away.
I wish General Schwartz good luck and smooth air as he takes over an organization that needs a shot of real leadership.

The New House Numbers, Approval Rate Down To 13%

San Fran Nan the biggest joke in the history of the House Speakers seat, the women that would lower the price of gas, who praises the Iranians and oh what’s the use I can go on and on. Her House is now down to a historically low 13% approval rating. Way to go Democrats, I wonder if this the change the Obama messiah was talking about.

RAF Tornado

I’ve always thought the Tornado was a good jet. When I was stationed in the UK I lived in a market town called Swaffham, about five miles from RAF Marham. I used to see these guys low leveling all the time.

We Have The Oil, Lets Drill And Mine

With Gas going up another quarter here locally thanks to the insane over 10 dollar jump in crude Friday, I thought you would like to see and article that was out a moth or so ago that received almost no airplay. Apparently the MSM doesn’t want you to know that we could be energy (oil) independent. It doesn’t fit with their far left agenda.

America is sitting on top of a super massive 200 billion barrel Oil Field that could potentially make America Energy Independent and until now has largely gone unnoticed. Thanks to new technology the Bakken Formation in North Dakota could boost America’s Oil reserves by an incredible 10 times, giving western economies the trump card against OPEC’s short squeeze on oil supply and making Iranian and Venezuelan threats of disrupted supply irrelevant.
In the next 30 days the USGS (U.S. Geological Survey) will release a new report giving an accurate resource assessment of the Bakken Oil Formation that covers North Dakota and portions of South Dakota and Montana. With new horizontal drilling technology it is believed that from 175 to 500 billion barrels of recoverable oil are held in this 200,000 square mile reserve that was initially discovered in 1951. The USGS did an initial study back in 1999 that estimated 400 billion recoverable barrels were present but with prices bottoming out at $10 a barrel back then the report was dismissed because of the higher cost of horizontal drilling techniques that would be needed, estimated at $20-$40 a barrel.
It was not until 2007, when EOG Resources of Texas started a frenzy when they drilled a single well in Parshal N.D. that is expected to yield 700,000 barrels of oil that real excitement and money started to flow in North Dakota. Marathon Oil is investing $1.5 billion and drilling 300 new wells in what is expected to be one of the greatest booms in Oil discovery since Oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia in 1938.
The US imported about 14 million barrels of Oil per day in 2007 , which means US consumers sent about $340 Billion Dollars over seas building palaces in Dubai and propping up unfriendly regimes around the World, if 200 billion barrels of oil at $90 a barrel are recovered in the high plains the added wealth to the US economy would be $18 Trillion Dollars which would go a long way in stabilizing the US trade deficit and could cut the cost of oil in half in the long run.

Back in the mid 90’s Col Harrigian flew with us in 1st FS at Tyndall when he was a Captain, one of the good guys as I remember. I wish him luck with his new aircraft. From what I’m hearing through the grapevine he will need it.

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty:
Private First Class Ross A. McGinnis distinguished himself by acts of gallantry and intrepidity above and beyond the call of duty while serving as an M2 .50-caliber Machine Gunner, 1st Platoon, C Company, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, in connection with combat operations against an armed enemy in Adhamiyah, Northeast Baghdad, Iraq, on 4 December 2006.
That afternoon his platoon was conducting combat control operations in an effort to reduce and control sectarian violence in the area. While Private McGinnis was manning the M2 .50-caliber Machine Gun, a fragmentation grenade thrown by an insurgent fell through the gunner's hatch into the vehicle. Reacting quickly, he yelled "grenade," allowing all four members of his crew to prepare for the grenade's blast. Then, rather than leaping from the gunner's hatch to safety, Private McGinnis made the courageous decision to protect his crew. In a selfless act of bravery, in which he was mortally wounded, Private McGinnis covered the live grenade, pinning it between his body and the vehicle and absorbing most of the explosion.
Private McGinnis' gallant action directly saved four men from certain serious injury or death. Private First Class McGinnis' extraordinary heroism and selflessness at the cost of his own life, above and beyond the call of duty, are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.
